Friday's Fancies: Lovely Layers

Yet again, it's Friday. The older I get, the more I understand that old saying "Time flies." It's kind of amazing.

Anyway, it's been awhile since I linked up with {long distance loving] for Friday's Fancies, but I picked a good one to come back to!

Today's FF is all about layers. As a Chicago veteran, I know a little something about layers.

When I think of warmth and layers, I immediately think sweaters and puffy vests. (Never mind that this particular vest is $1,046. Yikes.) I love this look because it gives you warmth without sacrificing style.

My latest obsession is this army green with gray. I think it's such a classy combination, and gives you options on black or dark brown, vs gold or silver jewelry. For this look, I went the black and gold route. I layered my fun faux fur vest with a gray cashmere turtleneck and a cute pair of H&M skinnies. I didn't stop layering there, though - my bracelets are also stacked. I topped off the look with a slouchy black beanie.
